Fr. Robert H. Stewart was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 5, 1948. Raised in Kansas City since his toddler years, Fr. Stewart was educated in Kansas City at the former Annunciation Grade School, De La Salle High School, and Rockhurst University. He completed his theological education and formation at Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Fr. Stewart was ordained as a priest on June 5, 1982. He has served as Pastor of Holy Family Parish since July, 1993. Prior to serving at Holy Family, Fr. Stewart served as associate pastor at St. Louis Parish, associate pastor and pastor of the former Blessed Sacrament Parish and associate pastor of St. Peter’s Parish, all in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been Chaplain for schools and has participated in numerous retreat programs for junior high and high school students. In addition to serving as Pastor of Holy Family, Fr. Stewart is the former Director of Vocations and Director of Seminarians for the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph. Fr. Stewart is also a member of the Diocesan Finance Council and the Diocesan Committee for Priestly Life and Ministry as well as the Chaplain for the Northland Serra Club.

Sue was born and raised in California. Sue married Ed (originally from St. Joseph, MO.) in 1978 and has raised three children and has two grandsons. Sue and her family left California 1994 to live in Littleton, Colorado for 3 1/2 years. She then moved with her family to Lee's Summit in 1998. She began her career in parish work at Our Lady of the Presentation Parish in 1998 and was asked to help begin the new parish in 1999. With the support of her husband and family she excepted and has since made parish work her passion.

 Deacon Paul Muller

Deacon Paul N. Muller grew up in Wantagh New York.  Paul attended St. Frances de Chantal Grammar school and Wantagh High School.  Paul is a Graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN and has BA in Communications and a BS in Management.  While at St. Joseph’s College, Paul met his wife Pam, who also graduated from St. Joseph’s.  They have been married for 37 years, with two married children, and two grandchildren.   Paul and Pam have lived in Lee’s Summit for 27 years and were members of Our Lady of the Presentation before being assigned to St. Margaret of Scotland.  The Muller’s are owners of an Equipment Finance Company here in Lee’s Summit.

Paul was ordained a Deacon on June 6th 2009.  He is grateful to Abbot Gregory and the Monks of Conception Seminary College for their support and guidance during his Deaconate formation.  In addition, Paul is a “Companion”; lay member of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood

Lexie and her husband Tom have lived in Lee’s Summit since 1981.  They have three grown sons who also live in the Lee’s Summit area.  The first 18 years they were members of Our Lady of the Presentation Parish.  While at Presentation, they helped develop the ministry of Mass Coordinator.  When the parish split, they left Presentation and became founding members of St. Margaret of Scotland.  At St. Margaret’s they have continued as Mass Coordinators for the 5:00 pm Saturday Mass.  Prior to coming on the parish staff in January 2005, Lexie did the scheduling for all the Liturgical Ministers from home as a volunteer. 

 

Richard L. Clough

Deacon

 

Richard and his wife, Carol, were born and raised in the Kansas

City area. Richard attended St. Louis Catholic School,

DeLaSalle Military Academy and Rockhurst College. He

graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He has attended

numerous graduate courses in marketing and sales. Carol attended

St. Ann’s Elementary School and St. Mary’s High

School in the Independence area.

Richard and Carol have been active in church ministry.

They have been involved as ushers, lectors, and extraordinary

ministers of Holy Communion at Mass and to the sick. They

have worked with parish councils and liturgy committees.

Richard and Carol will be married 50 years in 2008. They

have four children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Richard spent his 32-year career in the office products

industry. He entered the permanent diaconate formation program

for the Archdiocese of Galveston/Houston in 1999 and

was ordained January 25, 2003. Richard has served in various

parishes in the Archdiocese of Galveston/Houston.

Richard and Carol have recently moved back to the Lee’s

Summit area and reside in John Knox Village.

We are happy to welcome Richard and Carol to the

St. Margaret of Scotland Parish family!

 

 

 

Mary Goforth

Mary was born in Kansas City, Mo. and attended St. Louis grade school and Bishop Hogan High School.  She has been a church musician in Lee's Summit for 30 years and is an original staff member of St. Margaret's.  She has 2 children and 7 grandchildren.

Cheryl Immethun

Cheryl Immethun has lived in Lee’s Summit since graduating college with her then fiancé, Greg, in 1985.  She started her career as a Project Engineer in the Manufacturing Systems Department at AT&T Technologies.  When Greg and Cheryl’s oldest daughter, Vicki, was born, Cheryl left AT&T to stay home with her.  Cheryl continued her professional career through numerous positions in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Professional Society, Kansas City Chapter, including serving as Chapter Chairman.  She also worked as an independent contractor through Digby Willard Engineering, including projects at the Benedictine Monastery in Clyde.  Cheryl found a new passion, working with youth, starting in 1991.  Cheryl and Greg became Confirmation small group leaders at Our Lady of the Presentation, and have been involved in Confirmation ever since then as small group leaders, catechists and coordinator.  Cheryl has also been active in Girl Scouts for 10 years, serving as a troop leader, day camp program director, and canoe & kayak instructor.  Cheryl finds working with youth inspiring and energizing.
