Infant Baptisms

Expectant parents should enroll in our baptism preparation program early in pregnancy and before selecting godparents.  This program is held every other month in the odd months.  Parents must be registered, participating members of the parish for ideally six months prior to scheduling the baptism.  Baptisms are scheduled the 4th weekend of the month at a rotating mass.  Baptisms may also occur the second Saturday of the month outside of mass.  Ordinarily no baptisms are celebrated during the season of Lent. RCIC:

(Rite of Christian Initiation of Children) Some children over the age of 7 have not been baptized.  These children and their families take part in a special formation process which prepare them for the celebration of the Sacrament of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and in some cases Confirmation). Older children's baptisms are by special arrangement with the Parish Office for more information contact Cathie Liccar at 246-6800. or by email.

Matrimony

Couples intending to marry should contact the parish as soon as there is an agreement to marry.  At least nine (9) months is needed before the anticipated wedding to prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage.  In order to begin marriage preparation, one party must be a registered and active member of St. Margaret’s Parish for ideally six months

Sacrament of the Sick

Please notify the Parish office when a member of your family is hospitalized or confined to home. It is the responsibility of the family, not the hospital, to notify the parish. Due to privacy laws, parishioners who are hospitalized must indicate, at the time of admission, they want to receive communion. Those who desire continued visits in their home during convalescence should contact the parish office. If the church is closed and there is an emergency, please contact Fr. Confirmation

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is open to all high school teens who are registered with St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church.  Our Confirmation program brings teens and adults together to study and explore how growth in the Spirit is a life long journey.  Together participants share in their journey, and commit to share in the mission of Jesus.  Registration begins in October and meetings start in January.  Please phone Amy Panek at 246-6800 or by email.
