Middle School

Students will use the "THE EDGE" by Life Teen, Bible, Talk Sheets and other books to become involved and excited about discussing important issues so they may grow in their faith. Some of the topics discussed are:  Why Go to Mass, Friendship, Overcoming Peer Pressure, Family Matters, and Parents Are People too. They will meet on the second and fourth Sunday of the month from noon-1:30pm.

Grade School

Grades 1-6 meet on two different evenings. A parent may choose either Tuesday evening  from 6-7:15pm or Wednesday evening from 5-6:15pm. 

Please consider your child's schedule when enrolling for Tuesday or Wednesday evening classes.  We are thankful for their attendance, but tardiness and/or leaving early for sports each week is a disruption to the class.

FORMS 

RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation of Children) 

Some children over the age of 7 have not been baptized.  These children and their families take part in a special formation process which prepare them for the celebration of the Sacrament of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and in some cases Confirmation).

ADULTS

RCIA  (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

If you want to deepen your catholic faith or interested in seeing what is involved in joining the Catholic Church, RCIA classes will be 7-9pm September-April.  Contact Fr. Robert for more information.

Scripture Study 

In Mass, during the upcoming liturgical year we will focus on the Gospel of Mark. Therefore for five Wednesday evenings beginning October 12 at 7pm we will explore the first half of the Gospel of Mark.  We will concludeour discussion on five Wednesday evenings in the spring. The scripture study will be facilitated by Deacon Paul. Please contact the parish office if you would like to attend so we can purchase plenty of study guides. The suggested donation to cover materials for this class will be $15.00 per study guide set.  If a couple is planning to attend this scripture study together, they can most certainly share the same study guide.  However, we will be happy to order individual sets if you let us know that is your preference as soon as possible.

Who We Are

As a community of faith, we have the responsibility of sharing our faith with each other and with our youth. 

The children's program at St. Margaret of Scotland is viewed as a balance to and not a substitute for the Christian formation of children by parents in the homes.  Parents agreed to this duty at their child’s baptism.
